PUBLIC is a women-owned communications and strategy firm based in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 2017 as Stuart Collective, PUBLIC has evolved into two aligned arms: PUBLIC Campaigns, our full-service communications and digital practice, and PUBLIC Collective, our training and tools division. Together, we help advocacy organizations, campaigns, and coalitions win public support for good ideas—and build the narrative power to sustain real change.

We have seen firsthand how powerful a community can be when people unite behind a good idea.
Most people believe their neighbors deserve a fair shot, but good ideas often don’t break through — not because they’re wrong, but because they don’t reach people in time or in a way that sticks.
Before PUBLIC, our leadership team served in senior roles across politics and public affairs, in state-level Caucus management, with statewide associations, coalitions, and organizations working on healthcare, education, climate justice, worker protections, and more. We have helped lead and win campaigns at every level, from school board to statewide, across rural and urban areas.
